Admissions
Parents and carers
We offer education to young autistic people from Year 1 to Year 14 who have been referred by their local authority.
Our admission chart is a step-by-step guide to help you through the process of getting your child registered for Helen Allison School.
Whether you have already included our school on your child’s EHC Plan, or whether you are concerned that your current school is not meeting your child’s needs and are considering other options, we hope you find this chart useful.
We also encourage you to contact us to find out more about what we provide and to arrange a tour.
"Being a parent it is my wish, just as any other, to see a happy fulfilling future for my child, it begins with a fair chance at a good education. Helen Allison School is an establishment which provides these opportunities for each child and young person in order to achieve their full potential. My son is thriving, happy and making steady progress. I believe he is understood, supported and appreciated at Helen Allison School, qualities which are the foundation stone towards shaping an individual who can contribute and also be part of society. As a parent I am grateful and appreciative of this opportunity for my son. I will highly recommend this establishment."
"When we first visited Helen Allison School we could see that this school was special and really suited to our son's needs. Within just a few weeks of him attending they even exceeded our expectations. Our little boy, who was once struggling so much, was thriving before our eyes. The staff are fantastic! Every single member of the team knows our son and they really care. Nothing is too much trouble and they support our son both inside and outside of school by putting things in place that will help him all round. We couldn’t recommend this school highly enough."
