Safeguarding and child protection
At Helen Allison, we recognise our responsibility to:
- Protect children from maltreatment
- Prevent impairment of children’s health or development
- Ensure that children grow up in a safe environment
- Take action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.
Our school is a place where your child's wellbeing is of primary importance. We have extremely robust safeguarding procedures and practices in place to support this. We firmly believe it is the right of every child to be healthy, safe and happy and to achieve and make a positive contribution.
Keeping up-to-date with what your children are doing online can seem daunting. Technology is constantly advancing and sometimes parents feel their children know more about the internet than they do. Whatever their age, we can help you to find out more about what your children might be doing online and give you some simple, practical and easy advice on the steps you can take as a parent to keep them as safe as possible.
If you are concerned about the safety of a child, you can contact the school to speak to a Designated Safeguarding Lead on 01474 814878 or you can contact the Kent Safeguarding Board.
