Throughout my working life it has always been important to me to encourage students to recognise their creative potential. I am passionate about my subject and believe in raising the confidence and self-esteem of students and providing a safe environment for them to feel secure to explore new ideas, and to not be afraid of failure is essential. There is no right or wrong in self-expression – and this is what I try to teach my students. There is nothing more fulfilling and rewarding than seeing students achieve something they didn’t think they could do. I feel privileged to be able to work with such wonderful students at Helen Allison School and be part of their creative journey.
Hi, I'm Harry!
I thoroughly enjoy teaching students Creative Media at Helen Allison School and helping to provide opportunities for students to develop their thinking skills. I enjoy being able to pass on my love for acting, film & television production and online video creation, in order for student’s ideas to come to life. Students particularly enjoy being able to produce original screenplays, stop motion animations inspired by their own favourite TV shows, and creating their own characters, maps and adventure campaigns for Dungeons & Dragons.
Hi, I'm Cyril!
I feel privileged to be the music teacher at Helen Allison School and my teaching allows me to explore my passion as a professional musician and teacher to support students reach their full potential. Music brings so much joy to the lives of our students and it is the most rewarding aspect of my vocation.
All students are given the opportunity to participate, and we include learning new instruments, movement, dance, acting, singing and un-tuned percussion. Music is also used therapeutically for relaxation.
