Eliana Pinto - Lead Autism Teacher
I am Eliana Pinto, Lead Autism Teacher at Radlett Lodge School. I have been at Radlett Lodge School for 5 years. I have recently obtained my National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership. I completed my Masters in Arts (Ethics and Philosophy) in Portugal and moved to the UK in 2014. I have been a qualified teacher for over 23 years, teaching both in mainstream and special needs school. I have been working with autistic pupils for 9 years and have completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Autism at University of Birmingham in 2017. Since then I have been focusing on putting in practice autism specific approaches to ensure autistic pupils’ voices and needs are heard and met. I am very passionate about neurodiversity and inclusion and this was the main reason I joined Radlett Lodge School 5 years ago. I started as a Teacher in Caesar class (Early Years and Key Stage 1) and soon realised I wanted to be part of a school that works for autistic pupils. I am now leading the Trans‑Disciplinary Team at Radlett lodge School, working with our therapists, teaching staff and Senior Leadership Team to further develop our autism practice and our therapy offer.
