About our branch

Welcome to the Highland branch of the National Autistic Society.

The branch was formed in 2021 and is the UK's only exclusively online local branch for the National Autistic Society.

Our branch is run by a committee of volunteers made up of autistic adults and parents of autistic children.

Whilst we are part of the National Autistic Society, we do not receive financial support, and need to fundraise ourselves to cover our running costs and expenses. We are always looking for local sponsorship and any fundraising opportunities.

The main aim of our branch is to support and create opportunities for autistic people and their families in the Highland area and to raise autism awareness and promote greater acceptance.

There is no subscription or membership fee - just ask to be added to our mailing list to be kept updated with branch acitivites. 

Volunteer with us

The branch is run by a small group of volunteers who give their time and energy to support autistic people and their parents/carers. Without the help and support of our volunteers we would not be able to deliver our branch activities.

If you would like to volunteer some of your time to help our branch it would be greatly appreciated, we are currently looking to fill the following volunteer roles:

  • Secretary 
  • Activites Coordinator
  • Social Media Volunteer 
  • General Committee Members
