"Dungeons & Dragons"

Dungeons & Dragons is a uniquely powerful creative tool, existing purely in the imagination, pupils work to bring this world, its characters and adventures within to life on the table-top space. Working as a team, developing imperative social skills, students embody their own characters and navigate unfamiliar situations together looking to reach their final goal of improving the common good and having a wild adventure along the way – pupils have even been developing, writing and designing their own adventure campaign guides. Our Dungeons & Dragons Social Skills programme has been so popular as to transcend age-ranges within the school, encouraging pupils to interact beyond their comfort groups, pushing them to attend extra-curricular events at hobby stores, and even bringing in fellow autistic students from other schools creating bonds beyond the bounds of our own school!
