Film making

Film making is popular form of entertainment – from YouTube videos to blockbuster movies – most of our pupils have something they love to watch. Working through the filmmaking process opens their eyes to previously unseen perspectives in the creative process: planning an idea, resourcing props and equipment, shooting video and recording audio, editing videos, adding sound effects and altering backgrounds with greenscreen. Studying filmmaking enables pupils to explore the medium of film and video, develop their own practise and skills, and take ownership of their creative ambitions.
