Joanne has over 35 years' experience working with autistic people and their families and is a highly skilled clinician. She holds the position of Principal Speech & Language Therapist and is the Clinical Lead for speech and language therapy across the organisation.
Joanne is responsible for leading and managing a high-quality speech & language therapy service at the HAS and is a member of the Senior Leadership team. Joanne is experienced in working within a transdisciplinary team, acting as an expert witness in educational tribunals, leads on the referrals and admissions process at HAS and is author of several published articles with regards best autism practice. She has actively contributed to several autism specific research projects.
Joanne has lectured nationwide and has forged many links with Universities offering post graduate training and CPD to other professionals in the field. She is a member of Autism Accreditation and is a licensed NAS trainer.
