Marie-Louise Holmberg
Assistant Head - Teaching and Learning
Marie-Louise has become a part of the Helen Allison leadership team, following over 22 years of teaching, across a range of school settings. She has continually sought out opportunities to engage in current research, training and development in all aspects of education including: two courses with Oxford Brookes University (Leading From the Middle and Leadership Pathways), the Primary Years Program (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead training, as well as completing the NPQH. She is also a member of the Chartered College of Teaching.
Over time, Marie-Louise has developed a deep passion for curriculum design and implementation, particularly as a key part of senior leadership teams over the past 12 years. She has written bespoke curriculum collaboratively with staff, across a number of schools and believes that a curriculum must be personalised, aspirational for all and allow every individual the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Marie-Louise is incredibly excited to be joining the Helen Allison family and looks forward to getting to know pupils, working alongside them and meeting their parents and carers. As mum to an autistic son with complex learning needs, she understands the importance of these relationships and how education is key for our children in order to improve outcomes, create opportunities and to allow every individual to shine as they reach their full potential.
