Veolia Orchard
Published on 31 March 2025

Back in October Francesca, our student services coordinator, entered our school into an application to receive some fruit trees provided by Veolia under their Sustainable Schools programme. Helen Allison School were fortunate enough to be picked to receive an ‘orchard’.
On Friday 28th March, some lovely Veolia staff visited the school to deliver the trees along with a presentation in assembly to explain the benefits of fruit trees. After the assembly, students went up to our outdoor learning area to plant these trees with the team and then got their hands messy making some seed balls to throw and grow even more plants.
Thank you to Veolia for choosing Helen Allison School to be part of this project and we look forward to watching these trees grow over the years.
