The Information, Advice and Support Service (formally Parent Partnership Service) is a statutory service that provides, advice and support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or disability and their parents. The service is free and impartial. The service provides information, advice and support on subjects including local policy and practice, the Local Offer, personalisation, personal budgets, the law on SEN and disability, health and social care. Advice and support can be provided through the Education Health and Care Assessment and Planning process. We offer a phone help line, individual casework and representation, support in preparing for and attending meetings, support in resolving disagreements, including mediation and tribunals. We offer confidential and impartial information advice and support to young people (16+) on their own, if requested. We regularly deliver sessions for parents on topics such as Transfer to High School and Transition to Adulthood. .
