Autism insight panels
It is vital that all our work is informed by the views of the people we support, and the people who support us. Please join our autism insight panels to:
- help inform our work
- give your views on our messages and the visuals we want to use
- shape our campaigns
- help us to understand the issues you and your family are facing and where you think we should focus our efforts.
From time to time, we may also invite you to take part in further optional insight projects, such as focus groups to discuss your thoughts and ideas about our work.
How many panels are there?
We have three autism insight panels – one for autistic people, one for parents and carers of autistic people, and one for people who work in the field of autism or support autistic people in their work. If you fit into more than one group, that is fine, you can be on more than one panel.
How will we contact the panels?
We will contact our panels by email, at least every three months (sometimes more regularly) with short survey questions - such as your thoughts on our latest campaign, or to track your view on how autism is perceived by the public. We will try and keep these short each time.
Further insight work
From time to time, we will also contact you to ask whether you want to take part in other types of insight, such as focus groups. These individual projects may include the opportunity to receive expenses or payment – we will let you know if this is the case. These will always be optional and you can sign up to any that interest you.
By signing up to the panel, you also agree that from time to time, we may ask questions related to autism, in partnership with other organisations we are working with. Sometimes these organisations will be paying the National Autistic Society for us to gather insight on their behalf. You will never be obliged to answer questions. We will never share your personal data with these organisations, and we will keep your data safe. See our privacy policy for further details.
