Your young person should be aged 0-25 years and registered with a GP surgery in Ipswich & East Suffolk or West Suffolk. To check if your GP surgery is included click here
If you live in Lowestoft or Waveney you can find more information about the support available in your area via Just One Norfolk.
Please complete our online registration form or call into our Information Hub on 01473 835477 for assistance.
On receipt of your registration you will receive a welcome email. Out Duty Advisor will contact you by phone, or email if preferred, within 14 days.
If you are looking for information on how to get an assessment for autism or ADHD for your child then please visit East & West Suffolk – Suffolk SEND Local Offer. If you are a young adult, 18+, you should talk to your GP about an assessment.
Our knowledgeable and experienced staff will listen to you and work alongside you to develop an action plan with agreed next steps, sharing appropriate resources and guidance to support your individual situation.
Our short term Intervention can involve working directly with your child or young person, sibling carers or parent carers within the home, school, and community, via phone or video call based upon your preferences. We will work alongside other professionals to make sure your needs are being met.
We also offer parent carer drop ins, various localities in Suffolk, whole family activities and respite activities for parents. We work closely with our young carer colleagues and you can find out more about their support here Information About Our Service - Suffolk Family Carers
We offer several condition specific courses including Teen Life.
The Teen Life Parent Programme supports parents and carers of children aged 10-16 with a diagnosis of autism. Each family is allocated two places for parents and carers and a third place for a professional of their choosing (often a member of school staff such as a Teaching Assistant, Teacher or SENCO).
The programme is held over approximately six weeks. There is one session per week which lasts around two and a half hours.
The programme aims to support families to:
*Understand autism and how teens experience the world around them.
*Develop interactions and communication with their teen.
*Understand their teen's behaviour.
Please visit our website to register for invites to future courses or to find out dates and localities for drop ins
