As a charity, you play an integral part in helping us reach our mission to create a society that works for autistic people and their families. Our Supporter Promise is our commitment to show how vital and valuable your support is to us, so here are our promises to you:

With your help, we aim to transform lives and change attitudes to help create a society that works for autistic people. Our role is to:- Support all autistic individuals and their families to live a fulfilled life on their terms

- Transform society by building understanding, acceptance and respect for all autistic people.

- We will treat all enquiries from our supporters with respect and understanding.
- We will respond to all enquires in a friendly and timely manner.
- We will share real stories with you to show how your contributions are helping us reach our mission.
- We will make it easy for you to contact us.

- We will answer any questions you have about how your donations are spent.

- We will give you an open explanation should we not accept a donation made to our charity that we feel may compromise our beliefs or cause reputational risk.

- We will gather and look after your data according to the law. More information about how we manage our supporters' data can be found in our privacy notice.
- We will only send you marketing information if you want us to (our contact with you due to administrative or legal requirements is separate from this). You can contact us to update your marketing preferences. All you need to do is call our Supporter Care team on 0808 800 1050 or email supportercare@nas.org.uk.

- We strictly adhere to all fundraising legislations and follow all codes set out by the Chartered Institute of Fundraising (the professional membership body for UK fundraising) and the Fundraising Regulator (the independent regulator of charitable fundraising in England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
- We are compliant with any laws that relate to charities and fundraising.
- Following the guidance provided by the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, we are careful and sensitive when talking to supporters who appear vulnerable.
- We ensure that all staff are trained in and follow our Safeguarding Policy and protocols.
