Charity Heroes Raise £10K for Our Social Groups
Published on 25 November 2022
Big thanks to Fiona Irvine and the Charity Heroes team, who organised a glamorous fundraising lunch for us at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow!
The event took place on Saturday 12 November and was hosted by Gina McKie, with fabulous food, amazing shops, games, raffle prizes, live entertainment, as well as an after party which continued into the evening!
A great time was had by the 180 attendees, with plenty of sparkle and elegance on display. Our thanks also go to Abellio Shared Services, Eversholt Rail Group and Rainbow HR who sponsored the event.
All the money raised went towards our amazing social groups, who are very grateful for the wonderful support!
Fiona Irvine, founder of Charity Heroes, said:
“The Charity Heroes team were delighted to have hit our target and it is wonderful to know that 40 young autistic people will be supported for a full year thanks to our efforts. To hear from Kevin, one of the young people who has benefitted from the support, at our event was so inspirational and the work the charity does really changes the lives of autistic people, allowing them to live their lives to the full.”
Rob Holland, Director of the National Autistic Society Scotland, said:
“We all had a dazzling time, and we are so thankful to Charity Heroes and all the attendees for their generous support! Our social groups are vital for so many autistic young people, in that they help them to build confidence, make friends and aid with communication skills, so we’re extremely grateful for the kind donations received. Finally, I would like to thank everyone for coming along, it was brilliant to see so many twinkle toes on display!”
