Main information
Type of service: Assessment, Diagnostic services
Website: http://www.asd-adhd-assessors.co.uk
We are qualified to assess and diagnose child, adolescents and adults who may have undiagnosed or suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) across London and surrounding areas. We provide a diagnostic service for legal, educational and vocational purposes. Our service was set up in response to an ongoing need for an assessment and diagnostic service for suspected and undiagnosed ASD and/or ADHD. In previous roles we found that access to this type of service was not reliable and also failed to be done in a timely manner. What was also highlighted was a growing proportion of children and adults with undiagnosed neurodevelopmental conditions were coming into contact with the criminal justice system. There also seemed to be a direct correlation between children with undiagnosed conditions within the educational system, who were excluded or had challenging behaviour. We aim to carry out an assessment and diagnostic service that is reliable, communicative and timely in manner. All of our assessments are conducted jointly which is beneficial for our own clinical practice, as well as those we are assessing. We provide a screening service for other neuro-developmental conditions, such as cognitive screening, dyslexia and dyscalculia.
