Therapy for autistic children, young people & Young adults (up to age 30) who are experiencing mental health difficulties such as feeling anxious or low in mood.
I have a masters in creative arts therapy and a post graduate certificate in psychological therapies for autistic children and young people.
My approach is a mixture of talking therapy and creative arts therapy and is adapted to the specific need of each young person. I offer a neuroaffirmative and neuroinclusive space.
The purpose of therapy is to improve the young person's internal wellbeing. The intention is not to make the young person 'less autistic' or to encourage them to repress their autistic traits. In fact a young person may present as 'more autistic' as they unmask and gain self understanding.
I offer training for organisations, supporting you to make your organisation more neuro-inclusive and neuro-affirmative, improving the experience for autistic people who use your organisation and making your organisation more accessible for them. Some of the trainings offered are half day, some are a full day, two half day trainings can be combined into a full day training. Sessions can be run online or in person.
Feedback from previous training I've delivered can be found below.
Half day training is 2.5 hours (e.g. 10am-12:30pm)
Full day training is 6 hours inc 1 hour lunch break (e.g.10am-4pm)
Price for half a day training is £200
Price for a full day training is £375
Please note: there will be a travel expenses charge for in person training outside of Brighton & Hove
