Lisa Carey-Woolls

Lisa Carey-Woolls is a trainer, consultant and qualified teacher with a Master of Education (MEd) in SEN. She has had a long career in education, with roles as a mainstream teacher, specialist teacher, SENCO and headteacher. Most of her work has been within specialist autism settings, both in the UK and overseas.
She spent several years in Qatar as the first principal of an autism provision for local children, during which she helped establish the National Autistic Society EarlyBird course within the country, liaising with a multi-professional team. As a consultant, she continued the development of EarlyBird in Qatar and delivered various training programmes for local health services.
More recently, Lisa has worked as a self-employed consultant trainer for the National Autistic Society, the Autism Education Trust and the Bristol Autism Team.
She delivers online EarlyBird, EarlyBird +, and Teen Life training to professionals and Bristol families as both a licensed trainer and a licence holder for the Bristol Autism Team.
Her current roles involve creating and delivering training, providing support for families and carrying out workplace audits. She works in homes, schools, hospitals and other workplaces.
