Marvel FMCG: Championing Inclusion with the National Autistic Society
Published on 05 March 2025

For over two years, Marvel FMCG has been a valued partner of the National Autistic Society, championing workplace inclusion for autistic people. Guided by their unique 1% model, where they donate the equivalent of 1% of every placed candidate's annual salary to charitable causes, Marvel prioritises people over profit, fostering a culture of meaningful impact.
Their unwavering support has enabled the development of key initiatives, including the Buddy and Mentor Training Programme, designed to equip workplaces with the skills and empathy needed to support autistic employees. This programme forms part of the broader employment initiative, which Marvel has been backing for several years, helping create environments where autistic employees thrive.
Christine Flintoft-Smith, Head of Autism Accreditation and Projects at the National Autistic Society, said: "Marvel FMCG’s commitment to workplace inclusion has been truly transformative. Through funding programmes like the Buddy and Mentor Training Program, they have demonstrated a deep appreciation of the challenges autistic individuals face in the workplace. Their support in creating resources will equip many organisations with the tools they need to create environments where autistic employees can thrive, not just survive. Marvel’s partnership is a shining example of how businesses can drive meaningful change and make a lasting impact in both the workplace and the wider community."
Driving Lasting Impact
Marvel FMCG’s partnership with the National Autistic Society has grown from targeted programme sponsorship to a capacity-building approach, reflecting a deep commitment to advancing inclusivity in the workplace. Through their continued support, we’ve developed training modules that address autism awareness, workplace challenges, and practical strategies for fostering inclusive work environments.
Rich Howell, the Founder of Marvel FMCG, said: "At Marvel, we believe that nobody should have to worry about who they are, at work or anywhere else. We are committed to enabling everyone to have the best possible chance to have the career they deserve. Through our partnership with the National Autistic Society, we are proud to be a part of a movement that is driving real change in workplaces and creating environments where autistic individuals can thrive."
This collaboration has catalysed significant workplace change, encouraging open dialogue and building understanding between autistic employees and their colleagues. By funding these initiatives, Marvel FMCG is not only impacting their own workforce but also influencing their client organisations, setting a high standard for workplace inclusion.
As a Certified B Corporation, Marvel FMCG demonstrates how businesses can embed social purpose into their operations. Their sustained support exemplifies their belief that inclusion is not just a goal but a shared responsibility.
