Carer Support Wiltshire (formerly Carer Support Wiltshire Carer Support Wiltshire) offer free information, advice and emotional support to unpaid carers looking after friends or family members who through illness, disability or age are unable to care for themselves. Their parent carer support workers are able to offer specific services to parents of children with disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorders. Each carer receives an information pack. They have a support group meeting each month, a magazine three times a year and offer opportunities for outings, therapeutic breaks and training. Support workers are also to signpost parents to other specific agencies for concerns over benefits and schooling.
