Main information
Type of service: Counsellor
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist in private practice. I specialise in autism using my autism knowledge and experience in working with autistic people. I hold initial first sessions which are like an assessment where I ask the client to tell me why they seek therapy, why now and what they hope to get out of it, as well as ask them to tell me about their upbringing, relationships and areas they currently experience difficulties. If they are anxious about the first meeting I send them my questions beforehand and explain what they can expect.
I can help with Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Addictions, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Cancer, Child related issues, Cultural issues, Depression, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Identity issues, Loss, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues.
Sessions are £65 per clinical hour which is 50 minutes. I can provide sessions in person or over Zoom.
Note: I do not consider autism to be a disability but a cognitive difference and I promote neurodiversity. Autism is not a mental health issue, but I am mindful that there are a lot of autistic people suffering from mental health difficulties.
If you need reasonable adjustments before your first meeting and consecutive meetings, please do not hesitate to let me know and I will endeavour to support you in this as much as possible.
