About the event

You won’t want to miss this bucket-list opportunity to climb the highest mountain in the UK and experience the spectacular views of the Lake District. You might even be able to spot Wales, Scotland, the Isle of Man and Ireland all in one breath-taking view! Scafell Pike is an impressive 978 metres tall and can take up to 10 hours to complete the trek. It was formed as a result of volcanic activity in the area some 450 million years ago and then shaped by glaciers through to the last ice age which lasted until about 8000 years ago.

You won’t be trekking alone as you’ll be with the wonderful Team Autism and a team of experienced mountain guides from West Highland Adventure Tours who will support you every step of the way. In order to take part in this challenge you will need to have a good level of fitness and training is essential. As part of our support we will provide you with training tips to keep you fit, motivated and ready to take on the Scafell Pike 2024 challenge!
