Dear [name of manager / employer / HR manager],
On [enter the date of your initial request] I requested adjustments that would support me to carry out my role to the best of my ability, and to help manage my wellbeing at work.
The adjustments that would help me:
[List the adjustments you requested and why you requested them]
These adjustments have [not been made / only partially been made (give details)].
The [UK Equality Act 2010 / Disability Discrimination Act 1995 in Northern Ireland] places a duty on employers to make reasonable adjustments for people the Act defines as 'disabled', which includes autistic people. These adjustments can involve:
- changing policies, procedures and practices
- changing the physical environment
- providing additional aids and services.
Under UK equality law I am entitled to reasonable adjustments, and I believe the adjustments I requested and have listed above to be reasonable.
It would be helpful to discuss my concerns in more detail, but please also provide a written response within 7 days.
Yours sincerely,
