This is a special school catering for a range of needs including moderate learning disabilities (MLD), severe learning disabilities (SLD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with ASD specific provision. Holiday club and residential respite services are just for their own pupils. We offer placements for mature students from the local university if asked. Another intervention, approach and programme offered by the school is Social Communication/ Emotional Regulation/ Transactional Support (SCERTS). Billing Brook is a day special school for pupils aged 3 to 19 years who have learning difficulties ranging from moderate to complex. In addition, the school has provision for autistic pupils. All pupils have statements of special need. The school is situated in the Eastern district of Northampton and serves the town and surrounding area. It is organised into primary and secondary departments plus the autistic provision, each with a Head of Department. Billing Brook also has a satellite provision based on a mainstream secondary site. The school hopes to provide a caring, happy and secure environment in which children and staff feel valued and respect themselves and others.
