Devon Information, Advice and Support Service (DIAS) (formerly Devon Parent Partnership Service) is an impartial, independent and confidential service that provides information, support and guidance to parents/ carers of children with special educational needs (SEN) from 0-25 years. It aims to fully support parents/ carers through the processes and procedures of SEN in school, including statutory assessment, so that they are informed and supported to be a partner in their child's education. It runs training courses on all aspects of the SEN Code of Practice and how to work effectively with professionals, and we also produce information leaflets. The full range of these can be found on our website or requested from the central enquiry line. Leaflet 11 - A guide to Devon Parent Partnership Service explains what support they can offer. This includes preparation for and support at meetings, help with forms, support with appeals and tribunals, discussing options and signposting to other organisations. We provide confidential and impartial information, support and training for parents and carers who have children (age 0-25 years) with additional educational needs.
