Greenholm School
Main information
Greenholm School is an independent, specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Based in South West London, the school meets the needs of pupils with autism and additional needs such as ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory issues and associated behavioural difficulties.
Our skilled and passionate staff team work together to deliver education and care to meet the needs of our pupils with great enthusiasm and creativity as we weave our ethos of 'Aspire, Persevere and Thrive' in every moment of the school day. All this combined with our continued efforts to learn and adapt results in moments of pure joy as we celebrate the incredible achievements that incrementally lead to lifelong success.
We are dedicated to providing:
• The highest quality outcomes academically, socially and emotionally through a wide range of personalised opportunities and our broad, balanced and stimulating curriculum,
• Positive, safe and nurturing environments where pupils are valued as individuals and can develop their confidence, self-esteem, independence, self-discipline and respect, and
• Strong links between home, school and the wider community in order to support pupils’ learning and enable them to develop skills that will benefit them during and after their time at Greenholm.
Our dedicated staff will spend time finding out what your child enjoys and what they are interested in, so that their interests are integrated into their learning experience. This along with other needs feature in their Individual Care and Education Plans, which sets targets to address areas for development. We have an extensive clinical team, who are able to offer our young people within our school a truly personalised and comprehensive package of therapeutic support. We will ensure that every young person develops resilience and release their potential by providing the appropriate clinical support for their social, emotional, and mental health needs.
To further increase the opportunities and successful outcomes for our post 16 students, we have Strawberry Lodge Campus, located on its own grounds, where they access core subjects and courses ranging from Entry Level to Functional Skills, BTECs as well as GCSEs. Pupils can also complete specialist courses at a partner college with the support of their Learning and Job Coaches, who attend sessions with them so that they can access subjects with someone who is familiar with their needs. To raise the aspirations of our young people, our Futures Team has created a unique way to completely support every young person into the future they deserve. We provide our young people with actual job opportunities and unrivalled levels of ongoing support to ensure that their first steps beyond education are successful ones that directly lead to employment. Our Futures Ambassadors Sessions bring employers to our schools, where they speak to young people about their journey to success, giving a real insight into experiences and the diverse opportunities that industries can offer.
