Griffin Lodge
Main information
Type of service: Residential services
Griffin Lodge is an adult care service specifically for people who are deaf and/or who have autism with additional complex needs, often presenting with behaviours that challenge. Griffin Lodge was opened in 1998 as the result of a partnership between Northern Counties Housing Association and the Royal School for the Deaf and Communication Disorders. It provides a safe environment for residents to receive specific support and care packages, by tailoring services to meet very individual needs, and to maximise their potential for development through access to learning and equality of opportunity. It is set in its own extensive grounds at the end of a short access road and is close to all local amenities.
