• The Hampshire Autism Partnership Board (HAPB) is an independent body (supported by Hampshire County Council), established in 2010, which serves as a vital network for stakeholders committed to enhancing the lives of autistic individuals and their support networks.
• The Hampshire Autism Partnership Board provides quarterly updates on local autism services and addresses community concerns that may impact autistic individuals and their support networks.
• The Hampshire Autism Partnership Board also has the duty of gathering updates on the progress made by partners in implementing the Hampshire* All-age Autism Strategy. This involves reviewing the partners' progress and ensuring they are held accountable for their commitments. The board's approach is not simply one of oversight but of active support; especially in areas where partners encounter challenges.
• The composition of the HAPB reflects its commitment to inclusive representation, bringing together a diverse array of partners. These may include healthcare professionals, educators, social services representatives, autistic individuals, and family members. This multi-faceted approach ensures that discussions and decisions are informed by a comprehensive range of perspectives, leading to more robust and effective strategies for supporting the autistic community in Hampshire*.
• Please be aware that the HAPB does not manage referral cases. However, it can address concerns that Hampshire residents may have regarding autism services and can direct individuals or stakeholders to suitable services. It also aims to collaborate with local partners to promote autism-friendly practices.
