Harford Manor School

Main information

Type of service: Day schools, Schools

Situated in spacious grounds, including a cycle track, football pitch and external play equipment for both Primary and Secondary children and young people, the modern buildings provide accommodation for up to 77 children. As well as facilities provided by the Local Authority they have a small, heated hydrotherapy pool provided through the Friends of Harford Manor School Association. Each classroom has several computers and a number of iPads and iPods with a range of appropriate hardware and software to support the curriculum. The school has three minibuses, which it uses to enable pupils to be taken on educational visits and to develop social training programmes in the community. The School also runs a local shop in the wider community, staffed by its students. There is a nature conservation area that was built and maintained by the senior pupils in the school. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils.
