Lambeth Information Advice & Support Service (IASS) (formerly Lambeth Parent Partnership Service)
Main information
Type of service: Parent partnerships, Parent partnerships, Family support and information services
Lambeth Parent Partnership Service offers support and guidance to parents or carers who have children with special educational needs (SEN). Lambeth Parent Partnership Service will change to Lambeth Information Advice & Support Service (IASS) from September 2014. We expect to be called Lambeth IASS. Parent Partnership services exist in every local authority area and provide impartial information, advice and support to parents of children with SEN. This service is delivered at 'arms length' from the Local Authority (LA). Following the implementation of the Children and Families Act in September 2014, these services will provide impartial information, advice and support to parents and young people up to 25 years old with SEN, about education, health and social care. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the service users.
