Leeds Autism Diagnostic Service (LADS) is an adult autism specialist service serving a population of approx. 800,000.  Referrals come from both professionals and self-referrals, and the service is all-ability (i.e. includes patients with learning disability).  LADS has three arms – adult autism assessment, clinical consultancy (for patients with an existing diagnosis of autism who also have severe & complex mental health needs) and training.  The service vision is: for Leeds Autism Diagnostic Service to be the best specialist autism team in the country.  LADS is part of Leeds & York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT), the main provider of mental health, autism and learning disability care in Leeds.
