Linkage College

Main information

Type of service: Further & Higher Education

Linkage is the longest-established specialist further education college in the country, being a national provider of specialist further education for young adults with a wide range of learning difficulties.

Rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, our aim is to help every student achieve greater independence in preparation for adulthood. Individualised study programmes focus upon developing Employability, Independence, Maths, English and Personal and Social Skills. Linkage students enjoy excellent outcomes.

The college has two campuses, one in Lincolnshire and the other in North East Lincolnshire - both are set within beautiful surroundings.

Linkage College provides both residential and day programmes. The college also has the capacity to meet the needs of those requiring a 52-week placement.

Linkage has established a very successful and bespoke Specialist Transitionary Autism Resource (STAR) to enable learners with more complex needs to successfully access and benefit from specialist further education. Based in one of our residential training houses, the provision is a stepping stone for individuals who would ordinarily find it difficult to move straight into our college environment. A team of highly specialised staff including a Registered Manager, Independence Tutors and Learner Assistants deliver support and guidance and a Programme Area Manager leads the educational programme. Each bespoke programme is created in conjunction with parents, the learner and other significant specialists and is delivered by specialist lecturers with specialist resources.
