Autism Service Directory

MacIntyre School, Wingrave

Main information

At MacIntyre School and Children’s Homes we believe that potential is limitless and that every young person can and will ‘Achieve Above and Beyond’. Exceptional relationships and Great Interactions™ are at the core of everything that we do. We treat our children and young people with respect and dignity, offering high quality education and care in order to ‘Achieve Above and Beyond’ expectations.

Preparing young people for a life beyond school means that learning must be functional and relevant to each young person’s future. It is important that learning is delivered in a way that is meaningful and in a real-life context. This means learning happens everywhere and supports the generalisation of skills across all environments throughout the waking day.

Our Whole Team approach is the collaboration between all members of the residential, education and therapy team. They work together in partnerships with families and external stakeholders as a multi-disciplinary team to support the overall wellbeing and development of the young people. Each member of the team has a unique expertise and perspective that contribute to the development of effective plans and interventions.

By working together in a co-ordinated and collaborative manner, the team can provide a comprehensive and cohesive approach.
