Main information

Type of service: Interventions and therapies, Online services

Jenny supports people to identify their goals, gain self-awareness, identify their strengths, and build resilience and acceptance. Jenny coaches with compassion by creating a safe positive environment, to facilitate individuals with their goals at a pace that is right for them. Jenny’s ethos is for people to work with their ideal self and not an ought self – something to be fixed. Jenny’s approach is flexible, holistic, evidence-based and guided by the individual.

Jenny has over 9 years experience of mentoring and coaching autistic adults, adults with ADHD, dual diagnosis, and comorbid health conditions within the charity sector and private practice. Most recently she has worked with the NHS providing post-diagnostic coaching for autistic adults and adults with ADHD. Jenny was a project lead for a charity, running a social group and mentoring service for autistic adults. Jenny has also delivered training to businesses on autism awareness. Jenny has worked with individuals, and families, and has consulted with schools, universities, workplaces, GP practices, probation, and adult social care.

Jenny is experienced in the following: pre- and post-diagnosis support, emotional well-being and motivational support, coping with stress during times of change (such as points of transition between college, university or employment), career options and employment, preparation and support with job interviews, interpersonal relationships, university support, strategies and techniques to manage anxiety, psychoeducation and executive functioning. Jenny found out she was neurodiverse as a mature student at university. Instead of fighting with herself, she learned to work with herself.

Jenny has a BSc First Class Honours Psychology degree accredited by the British Psychological Society from the University of Sussex, an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience from UCL and a BPP Certificate in Training Practice. She has published research for Healthwatch into the barriers to accessing Health Care and Adult Social Care for Autistic Adults and is published in psychology and medical journals.

Jenny supports people via Skype or google meet & offers a free 30-minute initial session. This is an opportunity to meet and ask questions, with no obligation to sign up for coaching afterwards.
