Norfolk Learning Disability Partnership Board
Main information
Type of service: Learning Disability Partnership Boards
Norfolk Learning Disabilities Partnership Board plays an important role in making decisions about local services and support for people with learning disabilities and their families. People with learning disabilities and Family Carers are fully involved in the planning of learning disabilities services. Norfolk Learning Disabilities Partnership Board has set up 5 Locality Groups to look at local issues for people with learning difficulties and their families in different parts of Norfolk. The Locality Groups have meetings to look at local issues linked to the aims and priorities within Valuing People Now. Each group has members who speak up for individuals with learning disabilities and family/carers. Providers of services, County Council workers and other interested people from the locality also attend the meetings. The Locality Group presents these issues to the Board through their members who sit on the Board. Each Group must have an individual with learning disabilities and a parent/carer as members of the Board. They regularly attend and take an active part in meetings of the Board, and its sub groups.
