At South Wales Autism Assessments we provide Autism diagnostic services for children; adolescents and adults primarily in South Wales. Our team is led by Chris Wade, Consultant Speech and Language Therapist, and consists or a Clinical Psychologist (Diagnosing Clinician); a Senior Educational Psychologist; a Consultant Occupational Therapist and a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.

Each of our clinicians are trained in the ADOS 2 and ADI-R and we work closely as a multidisciplinary team. Further, as an MDT, we also provide our services to larger stakeholders who are commissioned by private referrals; the NHS and Youth Offending Services. 

We offer home visits across South Wales and up to 60 minutes drive from Caerphilly. We also offer clinic based assessments in Cardiff.  

We are part of Wade Therapy Services Ltd.

Approaches and tools used: We use the ADOS 2; ADI-R; CAST; AQ and EQ in addition to Nursery and School Observations where required.
