Streaming
Streaming can be done by anyone, anywhere and at any time, making it an interactive and accessible way to raise money. You can stream whatever activity you like, be it gaming, a craft or a cooking demonstration! Choose something that inspires you and use your skills to help us create a society that works for autistic people.
Tell us about your streamFollow our simple step-by-step guide to get started:
1. Choose a theme for your stream
From gaming and crafting to showcasing a skill such as dancing and baking, or even holding a coffee morning – streaming your event allows more people to join and support you with your fundraising.
3. Set up your online giving page
You can link your stream to an online giving page, which means all your donations come straight to us. Choose from JustGiving or Tiltify - whatever your preference. Both platforms have some useful guides to help set up your live stream.
Useful Guides: JustGiving; Tiltify
4. Set your date and time, and let everyone know!
Let all your family and friends – online and in real life – know about your stream ahead of time. Don’t be afraid to remind them again in the lead-up, as well as during your stream. People are more likely to donate during the event. Check out our Streaming Toolkit for everything you’ll need to support your stream before, during and after.
5. Stay safe, relaxed and well-hydrated
Take regular breaks, eat healthy snacks, drink lots of water and stretch your legs from time to time. During your breaks, you can use ‘break screens’, or why not share our ‘What is autism’ film to remind people why you’re fundraising for the National Autistic Society?
6. Share your story
People are usually motivated to give because of a personal story, so if you’re happy to do so, include details about why you chose to raise money for the National Autistic Society.
7. Thank your amazing donors
Not only will this show your gratitude, but it will also inspire others to donate, too. If you approach or pass your initial target for fundraising, raise your target. This will encourage even more donations. And make sure to thank them afterwards as well!

Streaming ToolkitTwitch top tip
If you are already a Twitch creator, you can add the National Autistic Society as a charity to your own channel under 'Charity' on your Creator Dashboard - this will allow people to donate directly in the same pop-up as where they would subscribe to your channel.
Testimonials
“My wife and I have been trying to learn more about autism and how we can do the best for our daughter. The National Autistic Society's advice and information has been invaluable. As such, I want to be able to give something back to them, so I use my streams and blog to fundraise as well as raise awareness and acceptance.”
