Registration and Sponsorship
A. I agree to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £35 to the National Autistic Society to secure my place in the Abseil for Autism challenge and that this registration fee will be in addition to the fundraising amount. A percentage of this income will cover the costs associated with your participation in this event and all additional funds raised will go directly towards the work of the National Autistic Society, and cannot be restricted to any particular programme, service or branch of the National Autistic Society.
B. I understand that I must ensure that my sponsors are aware that part of my minimum sponsorship will cover my challenge costs. Some participants choose to pay their race entry costs themselves, so they can tell their sponsors that all their money is going to the National Autistic Society and ensuring that, in appropriate cases, we can recover gift aid.
C. I understand that I must be at least 18 years old before the departure date of the event, or over 14 and be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
D. I agree to represent and raise money exclusively for the National Autistic Society in this event.
E. I understand that all postal Entry Forms must arrive before the closing date for event registration. The National Autistic Society accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged, illegible or mislaid entry forms. Places are given on a first come first serve basis of when applications (both online and postal) are received by the Events Team, applicants will be informed via email or telephone if they have secured a place in the event.
Health and Safety
A. I understand that each participant is responsible for their own actions whilst attending and/or participating in the event. The National Autistic Society accepts no responsibility for the actions of the participant nor the consequences of such actions. This continues to the participants personal belongings, they are brought and stored at their own risk and the National Autistic Society accepts no responsibility for any items that are damaged, lost or stolen at the event.
Images and footage
A. I hereby agree that images or footage taken of me on at the event may be used by the National Autistic Society in future promotional material including our websites, social media and charity magazines and reports, unless stated otherwise. (If you are under the age of 18 a parent or guardian can contact the National Autistic Society on your behalf: events@nas.org.uk)
Cancellations and withdrawals]A. Except in exceptional circumstances as determined by the National Autistic Society, I understand that all Registration Fees are non-refundable and may not be deferred towards a future Event. Participants who wish to withdraw from the event should inform the National Autistic Society in writing and all sponsorship forms and money collected needs to be sent directly to the National Autistic Society, and sponsors must be notified. All sponsorship monies will be retained by the National Autistic Society unless sponsors request in writing that the National Autistic Society return it to them within one month of the cancellation (not applicable for online donations).
B. I agree that through signing up to this event I am representing the National Autistic Society and abide to the charity's values. The National Autistic Society reserve the right to reject at any time any applicants/participants that are poorly representing the charity's values, who are believed to be fraudulent or are not committing to the fundraising ask. The National Autistic Society will not be liable in any way to costs associated with the event that may be lost due to the rejection.
C. I understand in the event that the National Autistic Society is forced to cancel the event or change the date for any reason the National Autistic Society will inform each participant as soon as possible. The participants can claim a refund of their registration fee, however they must notify the National Autistic Society in writing within 15 days of the National Autistic Society sending notification and the event cancellation. If the event start time or other details are altered, the National Autistic Society will inform participants and update the National Autistic Society website and no refund shall be granted.
D. All registration fees that are not refunded will be treated as a donation to the National Autistic Society.
