Hat is an AuDHD (autistic and ADHD) Speech and Language Therapist and Neurodevelopmental Practitioner. She assesses for autism and ADHD across the lifespan within a neuro-affirming framework. Hat was identified as autistic at the age of 26 after misdiagnosis of mental health conditions from childhood. She is semi-speaking and uses Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) part time. Hat is originally from the UK but lives in Australia with her partner and autism assistance dog. Hat runs the social media account @hat.talks.uk and is a blogger, author, public speaker and podcaster. She self-published the book What I wish you knew and is currently working with a publisher on written resources in the remit of Speech and Language Therapy.
