Bexley Autism Assessment Service

Type of service: Diagnostic services

A Community Paediatric Service.

Assessment procedure: Referrals are accepted through Medical Officers meeting, followed by initial medical assessment and discussion in multi disciplinary AAS meeting. Information gathered from parents and school through questionnaires and letters. Diagnostic interview followed by concluding assessment session including ADOS and ADI-R and multiagency meeting, including school. Currently no follow up done after the diagnosis.

Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes. Clinical psychology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Speech and language therapy, Educational Psychologists and SENCOs.

Age: From age 5 to 18

Aimed at: Adolescent , Child

Referral Sources: NHS Only
