Afasic is the UK charity representing children and young adults with communication impairments, working for their inclusion in society and supporting their parents and carers. Afasic Scotland was established in 1997 to help parents and young people in Scotland resolve queries arising from the Scottish legal and education systems. Provides training and information for parents. Parent support groups work with Afasic in Scotland and assistance is given to support existing groups and assist parents in setting up new ones. A UK helpline is available Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 2.30pm on 0845 355 5577.
