AIM - Autism Inclusion Matters Isle of Wight
Main information
Type of service: Family support and information services, Local groups, Social groups
Website: https://bookwhen.com/aimisleofwight
AIM is organised, supported and run by Autistic adults. This makes it a user led group. We run groups and activities to reduce isolation, meet people and support each other. Anyone who is Autistic, going through diagnosis, or thinking about getting a diagnosis can become involved with us. We try not to use functioning labels, and don't exclude anyone from using our support. We run a sensory library, social and support groups including women's groups. We also provide support advice and guidance on a range of issues by our peer support service. AIM also works hard to campaign for better support and recognition for autistic people. We organise and chair the Autism Partnership Board.
