The Ann Coleman Day Unit is a modern, purpose built building opened in June 2002. It provides very specialised day care for young people who have Autism or Asperger syndrome. The Day Unit is open from Monday to Friday, 9.15 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. and offers a wide range of activities to suit individual needs. Day service users can also enrol at local colleges for courses ranging from computer studies to self-advocacy towards independence. The Ann Coleman residential service is for people who have Autism or Asperger syndrome aged 18-65. Everything at the centre is geared towards creating a caring environment where residents can feel secure and independent.
