I am a counsellor who has a special interest in working with individuals on the autistic spectrum and their families. I have an MSc in Therapeutic Counselling and my research project focussed on working therapeutically with adults with autism. I am an integrative therapist which means that I am able to respond to the individual needs and circumstances of each client by incorporating a variety of approaches and interventions. I use person-centred, psychodynamic and solution focussed therapies as well as CBT. I understand that traditional therapeutic techniques are not always helpful or effective when working with clients with autism and I work hard to adapt my therapeutic approach to support the needs of each client. I can offer face to face counselling in my therapy room or I also offer Skype counselling sessions.
