Autism Service Directory

Aut-Haslemere

Main information

Type of service: Social groups

We are a peer-support group that meets monthly to discuss topics of interest to autistic people, sharing our challenges and difficulties, but also our successes and strategies. The group is an opportunity to learn new hints and tips, and to make new friends if you want to. We also have a secret Facebook group where members can keep in touch, and arrange social outings. We currently have a group that does a weekly walk. We ask people to contact us and we will arrange a brief meeting with all new members to tell you about the group, and we ask all new members to sign up to the group rules before attending a meeting. This is why we do not advertise the meeting location. You are welcome to ask someone else to contact us on your behalf, and may bring someone to the initial meeting if you want to. We allow autistic members of the group to volunteer. Their Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/authaslemere.
