The service provides support and training for teachers, classroom assistants and other staff, support and training for parents, and support and direct intervention for pre-school and school age children and young people. The Autism Advisory and Intervention Service (AAIS) also works in partnership with the health service as part of a multi-disciplinary assessment and diagnostic team for both pre-school age and school age children.
