Bangeston Hall

Main information

Type of service: Residential services

Residential care and development centre for young adults who are on the autism spectrum. The accommodation at Bangeston is separated into three distinct areas, the Hall (8 bed), the Lodge (4 bed) and the Cottage (4 bed). Because each service user is encouraged to grow and develop new skills at their own pace, everyone has their own individual programme of activities that they follow for the working week, Monday - Friday 09:00 - 16:00. The programmes are varied but most will include common elements such as communication skills, living skills, horticulture, workshops and gardening. Other options will include music therapy, art and aromatherapy. All of our service users are young adults in the age range 21-40 and have Autistm Spectrum Disorders. We do however appreciate that not everyone fits neatly into a particular category and so each application for a place is considered entirely on its individual merit. Some individuals may present a degree of behaviour which challenges the service and as such the service has a high tolerance of such behaviour.
