The Buddies Project is a parallel service to the main South Ayrshire Befriending Project. Buddies supports young people aged 11-18 years who are socially isolated as a direct result from having additional support needs arising specifically from a medical diagnosis. Buddies are adult volunteers who provide a 1:1 befriending relationship to support the young person every 2 weeks to access local activities in the community.
