Type of service: Nursery and pre-schools, Outreach - education

A fully integrated, maintained nursery school with 130 places; 30 of these are reserved, within our inclusive setting, for children living in East Hampshire who have SEND. These children are placed by the Local Education Authority (LEA) SEN team at the recommendation of a multi-disciplinary assessment team. Children have a range of needs including ASD and speech and language. There are regular visits from the NHS speech and language therapist and a privately commissioned speech and language therapist when required.

The Centre also supports parents and chidren in private pre-schools through our Thomas Outreach Programme (TOP).

The Children's Centre has a range of inclusive parent and child groups for families with children aged 0-5 years, including Health Visitor clinics, and a Bushy Teales group (by referral) for children under 3 years with communication delay or disorder.
