Cambian Southwick Park School is a 38 & 52-week residential school for young people with autism. Day places are available for students who live nearby. Our students often have some of the most complex needs and challenging behaviours with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and will also have associated learning difficulties. Admission can take place at any time during the school year. Cambian Southwick Park School is a part of the Cambian Group, one of the UK's leading providers of specialist services in education and care for young people with an autism spectrum condition (ASC). Southwick Park offers a unique, personalised approach to each student's learning and care needs. An individualised behavioural curriculum is implemented alongside an academic curriculum. We believe in a non-aversive positive approach; we do not believe in punishment in any form. Southwick Park draws upon a proven programme of specialist education, specialist 24-hour care and a wide range of clinical and therapeutic inputs, including speech & language therapy, behavioural therapy, occupational therapy, psychiatry and psychology. Multi-disciplinary teams and high staff ratios ensure intensive individual support. This purpose-built school is located in the heart of Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. We do follow the Structure, Positive (approaches and expectations), Empathy, Low arousal, Links (SPELL) framework for students who will benefit from it. Residential respite services are just for their own pupils.
